Portfolio Highlights!
Michelle Garibay
Lead Consultant, Event Designer - Oahu and Maui

Michelle had a passion for events from a young age, reflected in her own birthday parties with coordinating napkins and balloons that complimented the themed cake. Since then, Michelle continued honing her skills in leadership and event planning roles as a sorority member and an alumni advisor at San Diego State University. Michelle participated in organizing events for congressional and presidential candidates with the top political fundraising company in Southern California, and in her in involvement with the Government Relations department of the San Diego Padres during the campaign for the construction of Petco Park. At a well-respected San Diego public relations firm, Michelle's event management experience was broadened.

With the joy and excitement she experienced planning her own wedding in 2003 and her move to Hawaii in 2006, Michelle immediately realized her true calling in wedding planning and coordination and made the transition. Blue Sky Productions, which was launched by Michelle in 2006, has planned and coordinated over 60 weddings to date and quickly became recognized as a leading Hawaii and California Destination Wedding Specialist, infusing Hawaii's relaxed island attitude with west coast style. Michelle also enjoys her involvement with the Oahu Wedding Association and became a board member in 2010, overseeing the association's outreach efforts to market the island of Oahu as a premiere wedding destination.

Michelle's meticulous management style and eye for the smallest detail is brought to each and every wedding she has the honor to be a part of. Michelle believes that what sets an exceptional event coordinator apart from the rest is the realization that just a love of planning events is not enough. One has to be prepared, detailed and organized in order to tie everything together and execute them flawlessly and as scheduled. The key is to be responsive to his or her clients' needs and operate with transparency. The love of what one does then shines through their work through the ability to deliver on promises and truly care about the clients one serves. Michelle stands by this philosophy, and her passion, attention to detail and organization are continuously what clients love about her.
